There was a restaurant on the corner of Kercheval and (I think) Notre Dame in Grosse Pointe Park, back in the early 1990s, that I used to love. Little gourmet market in the front, a gorgeous bar and little tables in the back, and an awesome woman chef in the kitchen. If I remember the story correctly, her husband bought her the space as a gift, and they named it after their son...? I can't remember the name of this place for the life of me, and so far Google is turning up nothing. Anyone?
What was your worst cooking experience?
That would have to be the time many, many years ago when I decided I wanted to make duck gumbo for my then-boyfriend and his family for dinner. With a frozen duck. That I bought on the way to their house. Yeah, we had duck gumbo... like, two days later.
